Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Chatjgc ("we," "us") collects when you visit chatjgc.com, how we use it and the choices you have. We've written it in plain English, the same way we write everything else.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, the subject you choose and your message. If you sign up for our newsletter, the form provider receives your email address and any other details the form asks for. Please don't send details about your own legal matter. Messages to a publication aren't protected by attorney-client privilege.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and the services we use record technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring site and the time of your visit.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them, and allow our service providers to use them, to measure traffic, deliver and limit the frequency of ads, and keep embedded forms working. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work as expected if you do.
Google Analytics
We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how readers use the site, such as which guides are read and how people arrive. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on for disabling Analytics.
Advertising
Ads on Chatjgc are served through Revive Adserver. The ad server may set cookies or use similar technology to show ads, count impressions and clicks, and avoid showing you the same ad too often. Advertisers don't receive your contact information from us.
Newsletter form
Our newsletter signup is an embedded form provided by a third-party CRM service (Sphere CRM). When you submit it, your information goes to that provider, which stores it on our behalf so we can send you emails. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
Headlines and links to other sites
We show headlines from other publishers and link to official sources. When you click through, you leave our site, and that site's privacy policy applies. To refresh headlines, our own server fetches public RSS feeds. Your browser doesn't contact those publishers until you click a link.
How we use information
We use information to answer messages, send the newsletter to people who asked for it, understand which guides are useful, run and secure the site, and show ads. We don't sell your personal information for money.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of certain sharing. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Visitors from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection. To make a request, contact us. We'll respond within the time the law requires.
Children
Chatjgc isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
